Coin Cell Batteries

Specialty batteries are becoming more common as your favorite devices are getting smaller and smaller.

Batteries are round in diameter and have two electrodes of complementary metals. A separator that technicians call electrolyte sits between them and controls the flow of ions that make the electricity. Most of the button cells in use today are non-rechargeable and are found in medical implants, watches, hearing aids, car keys, and memory backup.
